3. The Season
3.1 The Season is conducted as a free, skill-based prize competition.

3.6 The Registration Closing Date and material eligibility restrictions shall be displayed prominently in promotional material relating to the Season.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Entry is open only to natural persons who are 18 years of age or older at registration, register one verified Edge Theory Account, accept these Official Rules before participating, satisfy the published qualification requirements and may lawfully participate under the laws applicable to their place of residence.
4.2 Subject to Clause 4.3, the Season is open to Participants worldwide.
4.3 Participation is not permitted where participation would be unlawful, the Promoter is prohibited by applicable law from providing the Season or fulfilling a Prize, or sanctions, export controls or other legal restrictions prevent participation or Prize fulfilment. Each Participant is responsible for ensuring that participation is lawful in their jurisdiction.
4.4 Employees, directors, officers, contractors and other persons directly involved in administering the Season, together with members of their immediate family or household, are not eligible unless the Promoter expressly states otherwise before registration opens.
4.5 Previous winners may participate in future Seasons unless these Official Rules provide otherwise.
4.6 Each Participant may hold one verified Account only for the Season.
4.7 Participants must ensure that information supplied to the Promoter is accurate, complete and kept up to date.
4.8 Before confirming a Prize, the Promoter may require reasonable evidence of identity, age, country of residence and eligibility. Failure to provide reasonable verification within the specified period may result in disqualification.
4.9 Account sharing is prohibited. Individuals in the same household may each participate where every Participant maintains their own verified Account and independently complies with these Official Rules.
5. Free Entry
5.1 Entry into the Season is genuinely free. No purchase, payment or paid membership is required to enter or participate.
5.2 Free members may complete all qualifying activity, receive a Season Score, appear on the leaderboard and compete for every Prize.
5.3 Purchasing an Edge Theory membership is optional and does not create additional entries, increase Season Score, alter the scoring methodology, remove qualification requirements, improve ranking, provide an undisclosed competitive advantage or influence winner selection.
5.4 No payment is required to accept or receive a Prize.
PART II: WINNER SELECTION, QUALIFICATION, SEASON SCORE AND SIMULATED TRADING
6. Winner Selection
6.1 Success depends exclusively upon Eligible Activity and the automatic application of the published Season Score methodology. Every qualified Participant receives a final Season Score and is ranked in descending order.
6.2 The Promoter shall not determine winners by personal preference, subjective opinion, founder or staff discretion, popularity, community or public voting, or any method other than the published methodology.
6.3 The Promoter may investigate suspected fraud, multiple Accounts, identity, technical failures, corrupted data, platform incidents, rule breaches, calculation errors, eligibility disputes and appeals. A verified error may be corrected only to restore the correct application of these Official Rules.
6.4 Qualification requirements are eligibility thresholds only and do not award points or ranking advantages.
6.5 The Promoter shall not retrospectively alter the Season Score methodology, component weightings, qualification requirements, tie-break criteria or winner-selection procedure merely because the result is unexpected or commercially inconvenient.
7. Qualification Requirements
7.1 To qualify for final ranking, a Participant must complete at least 20 Eligible Trading Days, complete at least 30 Eligible Closed Trades, undertake Eligible Activity across at least six separate calendar weeks, accept these Official Rules, maintain one verified Account, have no unresolved disqualification and comply with the maximum-loss rules.
7.2 Qualification thresholds do not provide additional points, ranking advantages or preferential treatment.
7.3 A Participant who fails to qualify is not eligible for final ranking, Prize entitlement, Hall of Fame recognition or an award reserved for qualified Participants.
8. Season Score
8.1 The Season Score is a deterministic methodology that ranks eligible simulated trading performance under these Official Rules. It does not identify the universally best trader or prove future profitability, live-market skill, funding eligibility or entitlement to a payout.
8.2 The weighting is:
| Component | Weight |
|---|---|
| Risk-Adjusted Simulated Performance | 35% |
| Maximum Drawdown Control | 20% |
| Risk Discipline | 15% |
| Consistency | 15% |
| Execution Discipline | 10% |
| Activity Confidence | 5% |
8.3 An Eligible Closed Trade is a simulated position opened and closed within the Edge Theory simulated terminal during the Season, using market pricing provided through that environment, complying with these Official Rules and not cancelled or declared invalid.
8.4 An Eligible Trading Day is a UTC calendar day during which a Participant completes at least one Eligible Closed Trade. Multiple Eligible Closed Trades on the same day count as one Eligible Trading Day.
8.5 Season Score calculations reflect platform-applied simulated trading fees. The Promoter does not represent that simulated fees replicate those charged by a third-party exchange.
8.6 Only realised simulated trading activity completed before the Season closes contributes towards qualification, Season Score and final ranking. Open positions at the closing time are excluded.
8.7 Maximum Drawdown is calculated using simulated account balance only. Unrealised profit and loss are not included.
8.8 Material platform failure, market-data failure, corrupted data, verified pricing error or administrative correction may cause affected trades to be declared void. Void or cancelled trades do not contribute towards qualification, Season Score, leaderboard position or Prize entitlement.
8.9 Final Season Score is rounded to two decimal places, while internal calculations may use greater precision.
8.10 Ties are resolved in this objective order: higher Risk-Adjusted Simulated Performance, lower Maximum Drawdown, higher Risk Discipline, higher Consistency, more Eligible Trading Days, then earlier achievement of the final verified score.
8.11 The methodology may be revised prospectively for a future Season but not for an ongoing or completed Season.
9. Simulated Trading
9.1 The Season operates exclusively within the Edge Theory simulated trading platform. Live market pricing may be used, but every balance, order, execution and position is simulated.
9.2 No customer order is transmitted to Bybit or any other exchange. Participation does not buy, sell or hold a real cryptoasset or financial instrument and does not create a brokerage, exchange or investment account.
9.3 Market pricing may be derived from supported Bybit feeds. Simulated execution may differ materially from live execution because of liquidity, slippage, latency, order-book depth, exchange behaviour, volatility, technical limitations and the inherent differences of simulation.
9.4 Scores, rankings, badges, Hall of Fame recognition and Prizes relate solely to simulated activity. They do not guarantee profitability, investment performance, live-market skill, funding, capital, participation in a proprietary trading programme or a payout.
9.5 Nothing in the Season, these Official Rules, the leaderboard or promotional material constitutes financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
PART III: TRADING RULES, RISK CONTROLS, PRIZES AND WINNER VERIFICATION
10. Trading Rules and Risk Controls
10.1 The Season is intended to reward disciplined, consistent and risk-controlled simulated trading. The Promoter may monitor activity to administer the Season, enforce these Official Rules and protect competition integrity.
10.2 Maximum Daily Drawdown is 5% of the applicable simulated account balance.
10.3 Maximum Overall Drawdown is 10% of the applicable simulated account balance, calculated using simulated account balance only.
10.4 A breach of either drawdown limit results in disqualification based on recorded trading data and the published methodology.
10.5 A Participant must not risk more than 2% of simulated account balance on an individual simulated trade.
10.6 Maximum permitted leverage is 10:1 (10x).
10.7 Eligible simulated trading is limited to USDT-settled Bybit Linear Perpetual markets supported by the Edge Theory terminal and included in the published Season market list. Markets outside that list do not contribute towards qualification or Season Score.
10.8 Market, Limit and Stop Orders, together with Take-Profit and Stop-Loss Instructions, are permitted.
10.9 The normal terminal requires Participants to use its stop-loss functionality. Where verified stop-loss information is absent, incomplete or otherwise fails platform requirements, Execution Discipline may be adversely affected under the published methodology.
10.10 Prohibited conduct includes multiple Accounts, Account sharing, another person operating an Account, wash trading, artificial activity, collusion, coordinated manipulation, unauthorised automation or bots, latency or pricing-feed exploitation, exploitation of bugs or failures, deliberate rule evasion, recovery trading, deliberate loss chasing, reckless leverage, artificially increasing volume to influence ranking, harassment and other conduct intended to circumvent fair operation.
10.11 A Participant must not interfere with the platform, scoring systems, trading records, market-data processing, leaderboard calculations or administration systems.
11. Prize Schedule
11.1 Prizes are awarded according to final verified rankings, are personal and non-transferable, and have no cash alternative unless required by law.
11.2 First place receives three months of Pro Membership, one 100,000 USDT Fast Track Simulated Challenge with a current stated retail value of US$649 and current simulated reward split of 90% subject to the applicable challenge rules, a Season Champion Badge and permanent Hall of Fame recognition.
11.3 Second place receives two months of Pro Membership, a Season Runner-Up Badge and permanent Hall of Fame recognition.
11.4 Third place receives one month of Pro Membership, a Season Finalist Badge and permanent Hall of Fame recognition.
11.5 Fourth to tenth receive a Top 10 Badge and final leaderboard recognition.
11.6 Every Participant satisfying Clause 7 receives a Season Finisher Badge. Qualification alone creates no entitlement to another Prize.
11.7 The Challenge must be activated within 30 days after Prize acceptance, is governed by the challenge rules applicable when issued, expires under those rules, is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. It does not guarantee funding, capital, profit or a payout.
11.8 An existing Pro member's Prize period commences after their existing paid Pro Membership expires.
11.9 An existing Elite member receives an equivalent extension of their existing Elite Membership and is not downgraded to Pro.
11.10 If a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, it may be replaced with a reasonable equivalent of approximately equal value where legally permitted.
11.11 No XP, leaderboard bonus, Season Score adjustment or ranking advantage is awarded for a Prize, badge, Hall of Fame recognition, completion or ranking.
12. Winner Verification and Prize Acceptance
12.1 Rankings remain provisional until eligibility is verified, valid appeals are determined and final rankings are confirmed.
12.2 Provisional winners are contacted through the verified email associated with their Account. The Promoter shall make three reasonable contact attempts.
12.3 A provisional winner must respond within 14 calendar days of the first notification and complete reasonable verification. Failure to respond constitutes rejection of the Prize.
12.4 The Promoter may request reasonable evidence of identity, age, residence, eligibility and compliance.
12.5 Where a provisional winner fails to respond, declines the Prize, fails verification or is disqualified, the Prize may be awarded to the next highest eligible Participant under the final verified ranking.
12.6 Subject to verification and acceptance, the Promoter intends to fulfil Prizes within 30 days. Reasonable delays outside its control do not constitute breach.
12.7 No purchase, payment or subscription is required to accept or receive a Prize.
12.8 A Challenge winner must accept the applicable Challenge rules before activation. Failure to accept may forfeit that element only.
PART IV: DISQUALIFICATION, PLATFORM FAILURE, APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS
13. Disqualification
13.1 A Participant may be disqualified only where recorded evidence establishes breach or ineligibility under the Official Rules in force when the activity occurred. Commercial inconvenience or an unexpected result is not a ground for disqualification.
13.2 Grounds include multiple Accounts, false identity or residence information, Account sharing, wash trading, artificial activity, collusion, exploitation of errors or defects, unauthorised automation, interference, rule circumvention, activity outside the Season period, breach of trading or risk controls, serious breach of Terms, failure to verify, dishonesty or fraud.
13.3 Evidence may include trading records, system logs, verification records, audit data, market-data records, correspondence and investigation reports.
13.4 A Participant shall not be disqualified solely for an administrative or technical error attributable to the Promoter. Where reasonably possible, the error shall be corrected.
13.5 Disqualification may remove qualification, leaderboard position, badges, Hall of Fame recognition and Prize entitlement. An unissued Prize may pass to the next highest eligible Participant.
14. Platform Failure, Suspension, Extension and Cancellation
14.1 The Promoter shall use reasonable care and skill to operate the Season fairly and consistently.
14.2 A material platform, scoring or market-data failure, cyber-security incident, corruption of records, prolonged infrastructure outage or software defect may justify proportionate action.
14.3 The Promoter may pause the Season, suspend affected activity, exclude an affected period, correct verified errors, extend the Season, postpone results or cancel an affected part only where reasonably necessary to restore fairness and protect Participants.
14.4 The Promoter shall not retrospectively alter methodology, qualification requirements, Prize entitlements or trading requirements merely because the outcome is unexpected.
14.5 Where reasonably practicable, affected Participants shall be notified through the platform, email or website of the issue, action, timetable impact and any required response.
14.6 If a fair outcome cannot otherwise be achieved, the affected portion may be cancelled and affected Prizes addressed fairly under these Official Rules and applicable law.
14.7 The Promoter is not responsible for delay or failure directly caused by events beyond reasonable control, subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Appeals and Complaints
15.1 A Participant whose own ranking, qualification or eligibility is affected may appeal within 14 calendar days after provisional results are published.
15.2 Appeals may concern incorrect trading or market data, incorrect application of the Official Rules, calculation errors, eligibility decisions, multiple-Account findings, material platform incidents or administrative errors.
15.3 Appeals may not request different methodology or weightings, relaxed qualification requirements, discretionary points or a more favourable interpretation.
15.4 An appeal should identify the Account, challenged decision, supporting evidence where available and sufficient information for investigation.
15.5 The Promoter shall investigate valid appeals fairly, may request further information and aims to decide within 14 calendar days after receiving all information reasonably required.
15.6 Appeals are determined by the appointed Competition Manager or, where reasonably practicable, another appointee not responsible for the original calculation.
15.7 Final results shall not normally be published until valid appeals are determined.
15.8 General complaints should be sent to support@edgetheory.pro. A complaint does not automatically suspend the rules or timetable.
15.9 Following determination of valid appeals, final verified rankings are final except where law requires otherwise or a manifest administrative error is later identified.
PART V: PRIVACY, LEADERBOARDS, ADVERTISING, AFFILIATES, FINANCIAL PROMOTIONS, LIABILITY AND GENERAL PROVISIONS
16. Privacy and Leaderboard Publication
16.1 Personal data is processed under applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and the Promoter's Privacy Policy.
16.2 Necessary data may include Account registration details, simulated activity, scores, leaderboard information, identity verification, fraud and security information, correspondence and Prize fulfilment information.
16.3 The leaderboard may display a chosen public username or, if selected, an anonymous display such as Hidden Participant.
16.4 Without an independent lawful basis, the leaderboard and results shall not publish legal names, contact or address details, identity documents, payment information, private journals, complete trade histories, private simulated balances or internal fraud and risk indicators.
16.5 The Promoter may publish a winner's public username, ranking, badges, Hall of Fame recognition and Prize. An interview, testimonial, case study or detailed profile requires separate consent where required by law.
16.6 Records may be retained as reasonably necessary to administer the Season, resolve disputes, investigate fraud, comply with law or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
17. Advertising Conditions
17.1 Advertising must accurately describe eligibility, entry, qualification, Prizes, winner selection and the simulated nature of the Season.
17.2 Relevant promotional material shall disclose free entry, simulated trading, 18+ eligibility, registration closing date, qualification requirements, geographic availability, principal Prizes, material restrictions and the Official Rules URL.
17.3 Advertising shall not guarantee funding, capital, profit, payout, proprietary trading participation or future trading success, or encourage increased risk, recovery trading or urgency.
17.4 These Official Rules shall remain publicly accessible throughout the Season.
18. Affiliate Promotion
18.1 Only approved affiliates may promote the Season. Applications remain pending until approved and approval may be withdrawn following breach.
18.2 Affiliates shall use approved materials, destinations, Prize descriptions and claims and shall not materially alter them without written approval.
18.3 Where required, an affiliate receiving compensation shall state: I may receive compensation if you register or purchase through my link.
18.4 Affiliates shall not guarantee a Prize, funding, profit, capital or payout, misrepresent methodology, Prizes or qualification, conceal their relationship, create false urgency or make statements inconsistent with these Official Rules.
18.5 The Promoter may monitor affiliate activity, require correction or removal, and suspend or terminate an affiliate relationship following breach.
19. Financial Promotion Boundary
19.1 The Season uses simulated trading and does not itself involve buying or selling a financial instrument or cryptoasset.
19.2 Nothing in the Season, platform, rules, leaderboard, promotion or Prize description is investment or financial advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a financial instrument or cryptoasset.
19.3 Nothing guarantees funding, capital, profitability, trading success, future returns, investment performance or payouts.
19.4 Nothing in these Official Rules authorises a communication that would otherwise require approval or compliance under applicable UK financial-promotion law. Participants and affiliates remain responsible for their communications.
20. Liability and General Terms
20.1 The Promoter shall exercise reasonable care and skill in administering the Season.
20.2 Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the Promoter is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation.
20.3 The Promoter is not responsible for internet connectivity, third-party interruption, Participant hardware or software, email delivery failure outside its reasonable control or other technical issues outside its reasonable control.
20.4 Intellectual property in the platform, Season, methodology, software, branding, graphics, documentation and materials remains with the Promoter or licensors.
20.5 The Promoter may amend these Official Rules before registration opens. After registration opens, amendments may be made only where reasonably necessary to comply with law, correct an obvious error or protect fairness and integrity. No amendment shall retrospectively disadvantage Participants except where required by law.
20.6 These Official Rules and documents expressly incorporated by reference constitute the entire agreement governing participation.
20.7 If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
20.8 These Official Rules and disputes arising from the Season are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
20.9 Questions may be submitted to support@edgetheory.pro.
