Section 1
Scope
This policy covers cookies and similar browser storage used on edgetheory.pro. A cookie is a small value stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage and session storage remain in the browser and are also covered here because they store or access information on a device.
Section 2
Essential authentication and security
Our authentication provider uses secure session cookies to keep a member signed in and refresh an authorised session. These are required for requested account features. The `edge-theory-admin-step-up` cookie is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and lasts up to one hour after an authorised administrator completes the additional security check. Security and session cookies may be cleared earlier when a session ends, credentials change or access is revoked.

First-party product analytics
If you accept analytics, the `edge_analytics_id` cookie provides a random browser identifier for first-party product analytics and lasts up to 90 days. The analytics endpoint can combine it with the browser user-agent to create a one-way hash, then store a permitted event name, limited properties, a signed-in user ID where available and a timestamp. It is used to understand product journeys, diagnose adoption problems and improve the service, not to send trades or build an advertising profile for sale. Analytics events and this identifier remain blocked unless analytics is accepted.

Affiliate attribution
When a recognised referral link is used, the `et_affiliate_attribution` cookie stores signed first-party referral attribution for up to 60 days. It can include the referring Affiliate record and bounded campaign fields. It is used to preserve attribution through registration and eligible checkout, prevent silent reassignment and determine whether a later purchase may qualify under Affiliate Programme terms. It does not increase the price paid and does not guarantee commission.

Email link hand-off
A valid tracked service or newsletter link can set the HttpOnly `et_email_delivery` cookie for up to 30 days. It connects a later eligible checkout or site action with the delivery record so Edge Theory can understand the hand-off and operate email reporting. The tracked redirect also records the target, delivery identifier and click event before sending the browser to the signed destination.
Section 6
Short-lived Calendar authorisation
Eligible Ambassador Programme Owners or Managers who choose to connect Google Calendar receive `et_amb_calendar_state` and `et_amb_calendar_verifier` cookies for up to 10 minutes. They are HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and scoped to the authorisation callback. They protect the OAuth and PKCE connection flow and are cleared after the callback.

Local and session storage
The platform uses browser storage for member appearance, chart and drawing settings, favourite intervals, active saved-layout choices, EdgeDepth preferences and cached tool state, selected Community live-session notes, previously seen reward notices, the guided-week visit marker and bounded campaign attribution during a browser session. These items support the requested interface or keep temporary state close to the device. Clearing site data resets them and may remove unsynchronised local preferences or notes.

Third-party services and embedded content
Whop checkout, YouTube or Vimeo media, Google authorisation and other deliberately opened third-party services may use their own cookies under their own policies. Edge Theory limits allowed embedded and framed sources through its security configuration, but the third party controls its own storage when you open or interact with that service.
Section 9
Your choices
On the first visit, the privacy panel allows you to reject optional storage, manage preferences or accept first-party analytics. The choice is retained for up to 180 days and can be changed at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Rejecting or later withdrawing analytics stops future product-analytics events and removes the analytics identifier. Essential authentication, security and storage needed for requested features remain active. Browser controls can also view, block or delete cookies and site storage, but blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or restricted features from working.
Section 10
Cookie duration and review
A stated duration is the maximum configured lifetime, not a guarantee that a cookie remains for that entire period. Browsers, sign-out, revocation and application logic can remove it earlier. We review this list when authentication, analytics, Affiliate, email, payment or integration behaviour changes. The policy date is updated when a material change is published.
