Read an event’s rules before entering
Each Tournament has its own published rules, schedule, eligibility and scoring. Read the specific event page before joining and check when registration opens or closes, which account or activity counts, and how standings are recorded. Do not assume that two events use the same rules simply because they appear in the same area.
If a rule or eligibility detail is missing, use the event’s displayed information or ask the platform team through its normal support route. Do not rely on an old announcement or another member’s summary where it conflicts with the current event page. Your entry should follow the terms shown for that particular event.
Standings describe a defined simulated competition
Tournament standings are a record within the event’s stated window and scoring method. They do not certify trading skill, establish a general track record or show what would happen with real funds. A leaderboard position can depend on the event’s duration, starting conditions, allowed actions and method of calculating the displayed result.
When reviewing standings, check the event name, time period, participant status and the result fields shown. A rank or XP amount is not a return forecast or an independent audit of every trade. If the page is loading or a record is unavailable, treat it as unavailable until the current event data is visible.
Keep practice and real trading clearly separated
Edge Theory Tournaments are presented as simulated events. Competition activity is not exchange execution and does not move funds between accounts. The platform’s simulated balance and score are event records, not cash, investment capital or a representation of money held on your behalf.
A simulated competition cannot recreate every live-market condition. Order fills, liquidity, fees and timing may differ from an exchange. Use the event to understand the stated rules and practise the product workflow, not as evidence that a strategy will perform the same way in a live account.
Check awards and eligibility on the event page
Any award or reward depends on the event’s published terms and confirmed eligibility. Read the conditions, dates and any participation requirements on the current event page. Do not infer a prize, payment, membership benefit or withdrawal from a position on a leaderboard unless the event terms expressly say so and the platform confirms it.
If an event includes a review step or administrative confirmation, allow that process to complete before treating the result as final. Record the event and the displayed status if you contact support. Never send payment credentials, exchange API keys or private wallet information in a public discussion about a competition.
Learn from the event without overreading the result
A competition can help you get familiar with an interface and follow how a simulated position changes over time. For a strategy question, return to the rules and their tested range. For a risk question, examine the assumptions and losing periods. A short event sample is not a substitute for a broader historical test or a record across different market conditions.
You can continue learning through the Community and Help guides. Keep your activity respectful, follow the event rules and make clear when you are describing simulated competition results. Other members should be able to tell the difference between an event score and a verified live trading record.
Take part using the current event controls
Use the event page as the source of truth for joining, leaving, timing and status. Keep your account details private and use the controls actually shown for the event. If the event is closed, full or unavailable, do not rely on a link from an older post to infer that registration is still open.
If you share a result in Community, name the event and make clear that it was simulated. Avoid presenting a leaderboard position as a personal investment record or as proof that another member should copy your approach. If you see a scoring discrepancy, note the event, the displayed status and the time you observed it, then use the platform’s normal support or reporting route.
Rankings and XP do not certify trading skill or guarantee a prize.

Are Tournaments live trading competitions?
No. The published Tournaments are simulated events and do not submit customer orders to an exchange.
Does a leaderboard position guarantee a prize?
No. Eligibility and any award depend on the specific event terms and confirmation shown by the platform.
Does XP prove trading skill?
No. XP and simulated rankings record platform activity; they do not certify skill or predict trading outcomes.
