How a Tournament works
A competition with a beginning, a board and a record.
Edge Theory moves an event through published states so members can understand where they are in the competition.
The event is created upstream.
Authorised Edge Theory administrators create and manage the Tournament. Members enter the competitions made available to them.

The competition and its published rules are created in Edge Theory.
Available
Eligible members can see the event and its status.
Join
Members enter an available event when they meet its requirements.
Practise
Activity remains inside the simulated competition environment.

The event shows the competition position recorded by the system.

Completed participation remains part of the member record.
Structured competitions
Edge Theory creates the competition. Members enter it.
Tournaments are created and managed through the Edge Theory admin system. That keeps the environment structured rather than turning it into an open member-created competition system.
Event-specific eligibility, timing and scoring remain part of the published event information where configured.
