Use your Free simulated bot on Bybit

A free Edge Theory account includes one simulated bot on Bybit. simulated mode records simulated balances, orders and positions. It does not place orders on the Bybit exchange.

Simulated results are simulated. They do not predict live results or guarantee returns.

Follow the steps for the task you need.

Member pages may ask you to sign in. Page contents and access can vary with your account.

01

Open Bot Builder

Bot Builder is the member workspace for choosing a Bot system and reviewing its configuration.

  1. Sign in to your Edge Theory account.
  2. Open Workspace, then choose Automate and Bot Builder. If the page asks you to sign in, complete that step and return to Builder.
  3. Confirm that your account shows the Free plan and that its included Bot is a simulated bot on Bybit.

02

Choose and configure a system

Choose the workflow you want to test, then read the available fields before saving the draft.

  1. On Choose system, review the available systems. Strategy Bot systems include Scanner signal source, DCA, Grid and Market making. Arbitrage is a separate workflow.
  2. Choose the system you intend to practise with and continue to its configuration.
  3. Read each market, strategy and risk field shown for that system. The available controls depend on the selected workflow.
  4. Keep the execution mode set to simulated and confirm the Bybit simulated account is shown before moving to review.

03

Review, activate and check the record

Activation starts the selected simulated workflow. Check the mode again, then use the activity and simulated ledger pages to see what was recorded.

  1. On Review & activate, check the market, strategy, risk settings and simulated mode.
  2. Choose Activate bot only when the displayed configuration is the one you intend to run.
  3. Open Bot Activity to review checks and runtime events. A waiting state can mean no eligible setup has appeared yet.
  4. Open the simulated Account to inspect simulated balances, orders and positions. These records are not exchange account activity.

04

Understand the limits

simulated mode is for simulated workflow activity and does not remove market uncertainty.

  1. A simulated order is simulated and does not represent an order placed on Bybit.
  2. A quiet Bot can be active while it waits for a setup that matches its configuration.
  3. Past or simulated outcomes are not a promise of future results. Review the configuration and records yourself.
